CityClass Hotel am Heumarkt

I booked this hotel pretty last-minute for a work trip to Cologne, and what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be! The place was absolutely immaculate, spotless, modern, and so well taken care of. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and even the bathroom products were high quality, which is such a nice touch. The location couldn’t be better, right in the historical city center (10 minute walk to the Cathedral / Central Train Station) yet with the windows closed, I couldn’t hear a single noise from outside, which made for a perfect night’s sleep. What really made my stay special, though, was the staff. The general manager (Maurice) who welcomed me in the evening was so kind and attentive. When I mentioned I had an important work meeting the next day, he did everything he could to make my stay comfortable. (Even agreed to change my room to one farther from the elevator so I could rest better). The girl at the reception in the morning was also very kind. She went out of her way to help me find a bandage because I had a terrible blister on my foot. Overall, it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. If I ever come back to Cologne, I’ll definitely stay here again!

Location, breakfast, comfort are all great value for the money. The staff is effective and professional, especially one of the female Concierges/frontdesk, which showed great range in terms of spoken languages, was nice and professional.

Rooms are clean and everything was as expected. All point of interests and restaurants are located nearby.

The location is really phenomenal. It is so convenient to food and sights. The room was so spacious. I could never have imagined all the space. The beds were comfortable, the shower was heavenly and we all had enough space to enjoy the visit.

We had a double room with a balcony, the beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was really nice. The room had everything we needed, and had enough storage space for luggage and clothes. The balcony was small but a really nice addition. The location was really good, right in the old town, very close to lots of bars and restaurants, and only around 10 mins to the Cathedral and train station.
